At Anderson County Blankets and Bears, our mission is to bring comfort, care, and hope to children in need by providing essential food, hygiene items, and support. We strive to meet immediate needs while nurturing a sense of dignity, compassion, and community for every child we serve.

We envision a community where every child feels valued, nourished, and cared for-empowered to grow, thrive, and dream without the burden of basic unmet needs. Through kindness and collective action, we aim to build a stronger, more compassionate Anderson County for all children.
Who are we
Welcome to our non-profit organization, where our journey began in 2009, inspired by the compassionate spirit of Jackson Hanks. From humble beginnings, we have dedicated ourselves to supporting abused and mistreated children in their times of need. With the help of community partners like CASA, Community Empact, Access and the Crisis Center, we strive to provide essential items such as food, hygiene products, and clothing. Our board, comprised of eight passionate individuals, is committed to nurturing the future leaders of our community with love and support.

Providing Comfort & Support
Care Closet
Blankets & Bears is dedicated to offering solace and aid to Anderson County youth. By distributing new blankets and stuffed bears to children in need, we aim to bring warmth and reassurance to their lives. Additionally, we have established care closets in all schools within Anderson County, where we finance and supply essential food and hygiene items for all ISD students.
